Free Rice →
Very cool vocabulary practice game. Every word you get correct you donate 20 grains of rice, and every three words in a row you gain one vocab level. If you miss a word you lose one vocab level.
It not just for the pleasure of seeing yourself rack up piles of rice to be donated, you will be enticed to continue playing to raise that vocab level higher and higher.

Pokemon Nostalgia - Reinvention
VGCats is a very good regular webcomic, and it now has a brilliant subcomic series called, Super Effective, about the original pokemon series. (Red, Blue, Yellow) The nostalgia is overpowering, but the jokes depend on having played the game. Luckily, I’ve played every rendition of pokemon to various degrees, and I am still adamant that they are the best portable RPGs ever created.

I just went out an bought all four volumes of this graphic novel series, and it was everything I could have hoped. It’s hilarious, and the characters are amazingly well developed and infinitely interesting. They’re also making it into a movie.
Penny Arcade Steals?
Penny Arcade… or should I say, LONELY ISLAND BOYS. This comic is STOLEN from the minds of The Lonely Island Boys, comprised of Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer, and Jorma Taccone, who now do SNL’s Digital Shorts. Before they joined SNL, however they wrote sketches Channel 101 and funny music for the interwebs at large, which included a rap song that was the precursor to SNL hits like...

Scooby Doo is truly one of the best movie adaptations of an old cartoon that was formulaic and somewhat stupid in a way that encompassed that same formula but added a modern twist that actually worked. (The best example I can think of is Speed Racer which was legitimately a 9.5/10...

It’s a peculiar title for a song, but I highly recommend a listen. It’s a very fast and somewhat hard to keep up with rant about today’s society but it’s also hilarious. Look it up.
